One of your best appearances yet and very relevant. The buy gold commercials are flooding radio and other media and people need to hear this message.

Hey Mark,
What I love about you is your overall message about this topic is consistent-commodities are a horrible hedge against inflation. Past performance history doesn’t change or lie. I was just talking to a great friend today about being properly diversified in ALL the asset classes, including international.
Thanks for being “out in front”.

They keep trying to push stock picking. Have they not heard our message that stock picking, track record chasing, market timing is gambling and speculating — not investing?
Gold, like all commodities, over the past 230 years, in all 16 developed nations historically, at best, only keeps up with inflation. Keep up the great message. The media can never get us off track. Keep telling them the truth.
The truth is the truth. Great interview.

Right on Brother! These TV hosts remind me of the poor guy in the investment commercial who is trying to tell his problems to a shrink, who then replies by speaking in French. It’s kind of like talking about abstinence in a beer commercial.
You’ll never win them over, so let’s hope some of the audience gets it.

Mark
I’m guessing since they don’t really get what you’re saying about owning the market and diversification instead of stock picking (sector picking), they probably wouldn’t understand the concept of getting exposure to gold, oil, and other commodities via owning oil/gold companies that add value and create wealth.

Mark - You have a great consistant message. Marketing time and stock picking still doesn’t work.

But Mark, what do you like? Really, what do you like?
I love that you never take the left turn they want you to take. Laser focused and always singing to your own tune.

Great explanation of what buying gold is all about. And you never let them push you into the trap of picking stocks. You came back with the truth - how and why investors need to truly diversify. Great job!

Had clients who wanted to buy gold…in fact insisted on it…so we fired them! Gold is best worn on, not invested in!
