When it comes to investing, the prudent thing to do is to acknowledge what we can’t do and  accept market rates of return . We can’t predict the future, pick the best stocks, or get in and out of the market at the “right” times. We can admit that we are powerless to predict the market; and forecasts aren’t neccessary to be very successful investors.
